our story

Angostura is the world market leader for bitters, one of the Caribbean’s leading rum producers and home to a superb collection of rum brands. Our story began in 1824, with Dr. Johann Siegert’s pioneering invention of ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters. Angostura, a heritage brand, is a global beverage company, steeped in tradition and driven to innovate.

We have successfully marketed our iconic bitters globally with a geographic reach into 170 markets. The recipe for ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters has not been changed since the first bottle was introduced to the world in 1824.

Our rum brands are Angostura® 3-year-old, Angostura® 5-year-old, Angostura® 7-year-old, Angostura Grand Reserve 1919®, Angostura Founders Reserve 1824®, Angostura® 15-year-old, Angostura Single Barrel®, Angostura® Tamboo, Angostura® White Oak rum and its innovative array of flavours: Sorrel, Coconut and Pineapple, Forres Park Puncheon rum, Fernandes Black Label, Royal Oak and Amaro di Angostura®. Our ready-to-drink portfolio includes the ANGOSTURA® 420 range: 420 Original, 420 Haze Passion and 420 High Grade, as well as Angostura® Cubata.
